hello everybody this is Renee Busch and I'm going to give you another Reading Writing tips to help your student or students at home I have are sound spelling cards up again NN my first video I went through our sound spelling cards A through Z and I talked about the name of the letter this sound it makes it in the picture that's on the car and I briefly talked about how to spell those sound in my second videos I went through a little more in-depth about how to spell those fouls and what to look for so I just wanted to go over some of the spelling what to look for when you're looking at them with your students at home so if you look at the bottom of these cards I have on the screen the spelling of that sound is at the bottom of the cart some cards only have one spelling some cards have multiple spelling if they a pinkish box on the card that means that there is a vowel either in front of or behind that spelling in the case of this pink box Decay right here it means that we spell the after a vowel like in the word raft or back I have the  out so then the is spelled with a c k something to look for is the blank the blanks mean that there are letters in front of it if the blank is in front of the spelling so you can see right here I have a blank easy for the that means that it has letters in front of it easy is added to make the word happened in the past tense of the word happened in the past tense we usually add an emoji so there are letters in front of that on my eCard my shorty card I have a spelled with E A that I talked about briefly could be in the world like head or red pH is another special spelling for and that could be like in the it's an example is in the word phone but if by itself is the most common like I said the common signs are towards the top these cards are simple with just one spelling each little bit more complicated over here with the you will see the pink box again after a vowel particularly this one of the Opera short vowel a fudge then you would put dge after the Earth the blank means there's letters in front of this like in the word page at the end of GE together says and then I blank means there's letters after like in the word giant so if the blank before I need letters before that if the blank is after their letters after their czar pink box CK again and then again letters before it right here blank Ellie little is example of that let's go so you will see em and all the are simple one spelling and has three different spelling list on this card the end is most common at the beginning of a word we might seek a n blank my twins are letters after it like in the word no I know the answer is a little bit more rare but we will see it in the kids will notice that the G and is together it says like in the word neck she is simple one spelling to the crosstown little different it always has the you with it so cute is always with you it's never by itself and it has a blank after it so it needs to be other letters like in the word quilt simple common spelling is the worst of the R & N W R blank again letters after it like in the word right I right blank is after so I need letters after wor ssj3 different ways to spell it s b o c e together like in the word race has to be we eat together says see I has to have letters after it like the word fifty cheap by itself or blank easy at the end of a word sometimes down like in the word looked has the EV letters have to be in front of it short you when spelling the V1 spelling the W has one spelling but it has to have letters making a wallaby sometimes there might be a letter in front of it like in the word wish I had that is but we have letters after it though has to have a short vowel in front of it like in the word box so that pink box tells me I need a vowel before I use the X the Y has a vowel after it like yo-yo is Owl after it yoyo yes yuck they all have a vowel after it and then diseases found the simple spelling is the device itself after of vowel particularly a short vowel here Buzz would be too Z's after a short vowel twozies and sometimes an S at the end of a word says and has the blank to tell me that at the end of a word like in the word has so I just wanted to point out some of those spelling so that when you're looking through those cards and your child or children are sounding Out words or writing words they have a reference to see maybe it's spelled that way so I appreciate your time and look for my next video
